Where is your showroom?

Our showroom is based in Bury St Edmunds (known as the jewel in the crown of Suffolk!)

Bury St Edmunds is a fantastic place to visit any time of the year, full of quality hotels and places to eat and drink – why not make us your main port of call whilst making a mini holiday of it.

Are your products made in the UK?

Here at Edmunds & Clarke Furniture we are proud to say that both our Edmunds & Clarke Furniture Collections are made in England by highly skilled tradesmen.

Lots of our Vintage Sofas and Chairs are designed here and use Scottish tweed.  And a large selection of our artwork and accessories are also handmade in the UK.
Products that we import are carefully selected for UK design authenticity wherever possible.  We love supporting British manufacturing and welcome you to join us in our mission to keep things local and sustainable.

Can I customise my furniture?

We offer a bespoke service, email or pop into our store with a rough drawing, photos, sizes and any other helpful information and we can help turn your idea into a reality!

For example, take a look at our ‘Edmunds‘ and ‘Bespoke‘ ranges. There are optional finish choices including: paint and wood colours, fabric/leather choices, pine or oak tops and various handle/knob options. You can even change the sizes to fit your room. The choice is yours!

  • 18mm or 25mm oak tops

Do you have an idea of your own?

Or an awkward space you would like to make useful? We offer a completely bespoke service for “Made-To-Measure” furniture.  All we require is a brief description of the item you require, along with the all important measurements and we can give you a competitive quotation.

Note: Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a fully fitted service as we only specialise in free standing furniture.

How do I measure my furniture?

If you need help in measuring up for a certain piece of furniture or think access might be an issue, please do not hesitate to contact us.

All items on our website will always show dimensions. It’s always worth checking doors, passages, corners, stairs and ceiling heights for access to ensure your furniture will fit. Try and imagine being a delivery driver for a moment!

If you happen to live in Zones 1-2 on our delivery map, we may be able to come to your home and measure for you. The cost of this service is the same as our “White Glove” premium delivery charges and lead times.  This cost will be refunded if you proceed with an order with us for the measured item.

What payment options are available?

We securely accept all major credit cards including AMEX, payment over the phone, bank transfers and paypal. If you wish to pay by cash or cheque please contact our store 01284 760103.

Do you price match?

Yes, we can certainly do our best..  Obviously it is difficult to price match other companies not knowing whether they actually have physical stock like us, and that it is brand new etc.  In the unlikely event that you find the same product for less, we can look into this for you, providing you have all the information to hand so we can compare and try our very best to match the price!  Get in touch with us to see what we can do for you>>

Please consider the following plea from Team EC first:

  • Unfortunately online price matching is something that comes up on a regular basis and it is up to customers to decide what value a local company like us can offer as a complete package.
  • We have a showroom with high business rent and rates, heating, lighting wages etc and therefore our overheads are higher than internet retailers that are often run from an office / warehouse in the middle of nowhere!
  • We have the ability to demonstrate the quality and function of the range set-up in a nice showroom rather than buying ‘blind’ online, not knowing the true origin of the product.
  • We offer several different delivery service options all handled by our own delivery team rather than a random direct home delivery company.
  • We offer a fair exchange process and are obviously here to talk to anytime for any advice etc!

Do you offer delivery?

We deliver all over the UK mainland, Scotland & Wales. Choose from several different options depending on your location and order. From economy doorstep delivery to our premium “White Glove” which is a two man service, taking extra care to unwrap and place your items in the room of your choice and taking away all the packing.

Our trusted APC parcel and pallet courier will also ensure your delivery gets to you on time. 

  • Pallet delivery – you will receive a two hour ETA within the UK
  • Parcel delivery – As above PLUS follow my driver information 

Your exact delivery options and costs will be shown at both your shopping basket and checkout pages once you have provided a delivery address and postcode.You can also choose to click and collect if you prefer.  More information can be found here>>

What Is Swift Delivery?

Beat the Queue! …Don’t wait for our “Edmunds” or our “Clarke” Collections to be made to order if you can have it right away!

These items are available to view in our showroom NOW – Organise your own collection or we can deliver as soon as possible to you for a very reasonable price. We aim to have all “SWIFT” items winging their way to you within 7-14 days.

Do you deliver overseas?

We currently do not ship internationally due to the ever changing regulations and the complexities associated with overseas deliveries.

We can however, deliver to your chosen port, furniture courier or removal firm within the UK.

Payments must be made in sterling with a UK bank account.

What does ‘Web exclusive’ mean?

The collection of furniture you are viewing is available to order online and in our showroom, but it will not usually be a range that we keep in stock. Of course it’s impossible to stock every item from every collection we can make or source. However, we endeavour to keep at least 1 item of furniture from each range shown on our website on display in our showroom or workshop at all times.  

If you would like to see the style, quality, finish etc before making your purchase then it would be well worth your while popping down to our showroom for a look!  If you have any questions about Web Exclusive products, please do not hesitate to contact us>.

Is your showroom disability friendly?

Our parking and showroom are all on the same level.  We try to keep a suitable amount of space in the aisles of our shop for wheelchairs, pushchairs etc.  We will always do our best to help too. 

Please be aware that there is a very small step at our front door and our toilet is a single, unisex toilet that is only basic and offers no disabled features.

Do you allow dogs in your showroom?

Yes we do! We are avid dog lovers here

We welcome well behaved dogs (And owners 😀) into our store.

Can I purchase gift vouchers from you?

You certainly can! Contact us with your details and we can organise this for you or send directly to the lucky recipient.
