Our HU—GE Edmunds 3 metre library bookcase will bring a beautiful touch of style to your home, with it’s pleasing design and functionality.  It offers the flexibility of adjustable shelving making it the perfect storage solution for books in a library (or any other space for that matter!) Perhaps you need to store files in your office, or even use it as a beautiful display unit in your home.  With the added bonus of deeper cupboards at the base, these bookcases are the ultimate all-in-one unit!

This bookcase has a simple framed design adding strength, and features a curved edge to the front parts giving extra detail.  With our in-house Edmunds design, there is no need for a central divider between the pairs of doors in the base; along with 1 adjustable shelf in each, this allows access for larger items.  There are 9 adjustable shelves in the rack section allowing for versatile storage.  With lots of different finishes to choose from you can create something as individual as you.  We also offer a full range of bookcases with cupboard doors that are all one depth – available to find here>

There are 2 options when it comes to the central section of the base unit:  A continuation of the pairs of panelled doors OR 3 ample sized wide drawers which run on traditional wooden runners as standard.  We do highly recommend upgrading to our smooth action or soft close drawers if you use them regularly for that really premium touch!

As standard we offer the shelves in two finishes – painted allover to match the main unit, or light oak stained waxed pine to either match a complete wood unit or feature as a nice contrast to the painted outer.  If you require solid oak shelves in any of our standard oak finishes then please get in touch for a competitive quotation.

For easy delivery these units completely dismantle for installation anywhere.  Using our hidden joint method, the cupboards and rack bodies are bolted together with a seamless frame design.

1) A Little More About Our Edmunds Collection

Our Edmunds collection is our very own in-house collection. All our pieces have been professionally handmade and designed to an elegant shaker style and to the highest of standards. Constructed with superior details such as oxford groove on the drawers, making this item really stand out.

We pride ourselves on only the very best finish, with 12 Edmunds colours to choose from as standard and also offer a Farrow & Ball colour match service as an optional extra.  We prefer a spray application rather than brush painting, leaving a deep lasting paint finish throughout. 2) Optional Upgrades 

Oak Tops: Painted or pine tops are standard on most pieces, with an option of an upgrade to oak tops. We offer 18mm or 25mm thickness finished in a natural lacquer, oiled, grey or white lacquer finish.

Shelving: As standard, shelves are painted or pine but there is the option of solid oak. Solid oak shelves can add a touch of luxury to your Edmunds piece.  The soft warm tones against the paint colour of your choice really can impact the look. Solid oak, 18mm thickness with a natural lacquer, oiled, grey or white lacquer finish. The choice is yours!

Backboard: Adding a white contrasting backboard to a dresser or a bookcase can really make your piece of furniture stand out or a wine storage unit with contrasting white racks.

 Drawer runners: Why not add lovely  smooth action drawer runners or soft close to your piece of furniture, these optional extra upgrades are worth every penny!
